Abstract/Notes

Given pre- and post-X-rays of the spine, a computer-aided method to compute an accurate spinal displacement during the pre- and post-X-ray period is developed.  It assumes a vertebra as a rigid body.  Then, by using the rigid body condition mathematically, the X-ray computer data are corrected with an optimum criteria.  Finally, it computes the complete displacement of a vertebra with respect to other vertebrae using the displacement matrix method.
